Pomodoro
Pomodoro task timer will help you stay focused and be more productive
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method. It uses a timer to divide work into intervals, usually 25 minutes, separated by short breaks, each interval is known as a Pomodoro.
Try the Pomodoro Technique if you...
• Encountering small distractions often disrupts the entire workday
• Consistently work beyond the point of optimal productivity
• Having lots of open work that can take unlimited time (e.g. studying for an exam, researching a blog post, etc.)
• Are overly optimistic when it comes to how much you can get done in a day
• Enjoy gamified goal setting
• He really likes tomatoes
The original technique has six steps:
1. Decide the task to be performed.
2. Set the pomodoro timer (typically for 25 minutes).
3. Work on the task.
4. Finish work when the timer rings and take a short break (usually 5 to 10 minutes).
5. If you've finished fewer than three pomodoros, go back to Step 2 and repeat until you've gone through all three pomodoros.
6. After finishing three pomodoros, do the fourth pomodoro and take a long break (usually 20 to 30 minutes). Once the long pause is over, return to step 2.
For the purposes of the technique, a pomodoro is an interval of work time.
